AWF is a non-blocking, asynchronous, event driven high performance web framework running on the JVM. AWF, originally named Deft, entered incubation on 2011-07-08. - AWF is about to retire from the Apache incubation - No community development since last report - No commits since last report. A vote to retire the AWF podling is in progress. Signed off by mentor: Shepherd: Jukka Zitting
AWF is a non-blocking, asynchronous, event driven high performance web framework running on the JVM. The project entered incubation on 2011-07-08. The project has been renamed from DEFT to AWF, all the mailing-lists, web site, JIRA etc have been migrated. We have had few activity this quarter: - Still working on getting our first release out - Some bugs have been fixed How has the community developed since the last report? - On one hand Roger does not have any more time to work on the project - But on the other hand there is a new potential committer. His recommendation is being under discussion Any issues that the Incubator PMC (IPMC) or ASF Board wish/need to be aware of? - Not at this time. How has the project developed since the last report? - Still working on getting our first release out NOTE: It was questioned if this project was viable as the activity remains low, but the team thinks that it's a temporary situation due to individuals being swamped into day job and change in family situation, so the decision to pursue the effort has been agreed on. Deft is a non-blocking, asynchronous, event driven high performance web framework running on the JVM. The project entered incubation on 2011-07-08. The most important issues to address in moving to graduation: 1. Prepare an initial incubation release. 2. Attract more committers, and other community members. 3. Secure the previously used URL, "deftserver.org". Any issues that the Incubator PMC (IPMC) or ASF Board wish/need to be aware of? - Not at this time. How has the community developed since the last report? - There have been no significant developments. How has the project developed since the last report? - Outstanding tasks are still being worked on.
Deft is a non-blocking, asynchronous, event driven high performance web framework running on the JVM. Issues before graduation * Project rename (Deft seems to be trademarked) * Put together a first incubation release * Find new committers The PPMC has discussed that we probably need to rename Deft. The reason for this is to avoid future complication because of trademarks associated with Deft. No significant change has been noticed regarding the Apache Deft community. The Apache Deft web page is up and running (still a lot of documentation to be done).

Deft is a non-blocking, asynchronous, event driven high performance web framework running on the JVM. Deft entered incubation on July 8rd, 2011. Project development We are still working in the sandbox (https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/deft/sandbox/). We have signed and sent the software grant and also received signed ICLA from the external contributors that submitted patches to Deft before the Apache incubation. A chairman is currently being voted. All (Github) issues have been migrated to Apache JIRA. We have already attracted some new contributors. Most important issues to address * Finalize the sandbox work (almost done) * Converge the coding standards discussion (discussed on the dev ML) Issues before graduation * Create Deft web site (or migrate deftserver.org) * Put together a first incubation release * Find new committers
